16 scholars fromuniversity and college educators, researchers, and activistsfrom Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam declared The establishment of networking on sustainable agriculture, food and energy for university and college educators, researchers, and activists in Asia Pacific to be known as SAFE -Network. SAFE-Network was declared on 12 May 2013 in Andalas University-Padang INDONESIA.
SAFE Network is an Asia Pacific network of university and college educators, researchers, and activists, who collaborate in analysis, synthesis, connecting and educating the people for a better economy, ecology, and equity in agriculture, food and energy system.

One of the SAFE Network activities is publishing Asia Pacific Journal of Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Energy (APJSAFE), This Journal will be published twice a year, official language is English and reporting the results of original research in the following areas: Sustainable Agriculture, Food Technology and Sustainable Nutrition, Community Development and Scientific Communication, and Other related topics deemed relevant by the Editorial Board (Special Issues). Emphasis is given to the findings of research and development in the agriculture, food and energy. Each issue of the journal would also contain review articles, technical notes and short communications.
